What do electric cars and toasters have in common?
Well, actually nothing, except you can get electrocuted if either should fall into your bathtub while you’re in it. This is really funny to me.
It seems there is a group of people that are afraid of electric cars. The reason? Apparently there is a fear of electrocution if they get wet.
There’s an old story floating around about a guy who got electrocuted when his toaster fell in the tub. Actually the way I heard it was a radio not a toaster that fell into the tub. What was this guy thinking anyway?
Keep Your Electric Cars Out Of The Gene Pool
I don’t think he was in a tub but rather in the shallow end of the gene pool. This gets my vote for the Darwin Award. Even worse, if the guy had lived he would have ended up with soggy toast.
Needless to say, this fear of electric cars is completely unfounded. So if you are thinking about building a homemade electric car just make sure you aren’t standing in the tub while doing it. Also just to be safe make sure you never make breakfast in your electric car and for God sakes don’t bathe and drive!
